William C. Cesaroni
William C. Cesaroni established Cesaroni Design Associates, Inc. in 1979. As founder and president, Bill is responsible for the firm's strategic product planning, and remains a hands-on project leader who is highly involved in the design and development process.
As an active member in his profession, Bill is an Ambassador of the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA). He is also featured in Who’s Who in Design: The Leading Designers of the World.
Bill graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Industrial Design and a Minor in Business Administration. He went on to receive a Master's Degree in Packaging Engineering also from Michigan State.
After completing his education, Bill began working as an industrial designer at Mel Boldt and Associates, the largest industrial design firm in Chicago at the time. Bill then elected to gain knowledge of the corporate environment at Bell+Howell before starting his own industrial design firm in suburban Chicago.
At Cesaroni Design we help create products that are beautiful, user focused and manufacturable at a profit. We have a high respect for all the other professions that are required to bring a new product to the market place. We work closely with all the professions and request that they are included in our industrial design process. In the real world of product development, no individual designs a product alone; it is truly a team effort.
Because tooling is often the largest upfront expense and manufacturing affects the ultimate bottom line, it is critical that industrial design take both costs into consideration during the concept phase of a project. As a result of our thirty-five years of experience, we can organize our design process into three primary phases (conceptual design, prototype design and prototype build). If you are looking for an experienced group of degreed industrial designers who work extensively with both in-house and foreign engineering /manufacturing, please contact us for a meeting. Our three locations and extremely diversified experience in eight major product categories make us an ideal partner with most potential clients.
