Our product design firm worked with Health o meter® / Sunbeam on the development of these new bath scales. The project team conducted extensive consumer research for the new products. The consumer feedback led the product designers to create smooth and simple surfaces with little detail for easy cleaning.

The new styling brings a minimalist and modern aesthetic choice into the housewares industry. The rectangular forms are softened by the use of simple arcs.

The futuristic design of the glass scale gives the illusion that the product is floating. This light and airy feel helps the new product fit into many different decors. The top platform is glass with silk-screened silver graphic areas on the back, which disguises the locations of the load cells that take the weight reading. The LCD display is surrounded by injection molded plastic.
