Project Description: Fitness & Recreation

Design Team: Cesaroni Design & Life Fitness

The development of this bike seat is part of a design effort by Cesaroni Design and Life Fitness to improve user experience. Inadequately designed bike seats can lead to improper support for users causing stress on the lower back, shoulders and hands.

Extensive ergonomic research and rigorous testing on competitive products was performed by the design team. Research and product testing led to a more convex shaped bike seat with a relief groove channel in the center to give users proper support. The swept back design of the bike seat reduces contact with the user's thighs to aid in comfort.
