JetScan™ iFX™ i100 Series Currency Scanner
Design Team: Cesaroni Design & Cummins-Allison
From concept sketches and color renderings to styling model design, this next generation currency processing scanner represents a customer-centered design approach where user experience is the drive behind our development process. User-friendliness and ergonomics were critical to the design for daily maintenance.
The JetScan iFX allows users to take their currency processing to the next level. The scanner's small footprint, fresh organic aesthetics and LCD touchscreen display communicate a premium look. All areas for human interaction and ergonomics, such as handles, controls, bill trays and service are clearly defined, accessible and operable with minimum effort and confusion.
The side covers include two lower recessed handles for lifting the product. An improved transport path is designed to process notes more efficiently, maximizing uptime and reducing jams. If a jam occurs, the operator simply pushes down on the two visible latches for full access to the transport path.
A full-color LCD display is located on the front of the unit for easy viewing and readability. The touchscreen enhances ease of use with its menu-driven design and simple navigation. The scanner provides a combination of sensing systems that individually and collectively detect a wide variety of counterfeit bills. With its imaging recognition capabilities, bills are denominated and authenticated, resulting in better currency read rates, faster processing speeds with fewer stops for difficult-to-read bills and superior counterfeit detection. This new technology frees operators to focus on other activities.
Image management software gives the operator the ability to store, sort, view and search data. Multiple ports allow users to export serial number data and currency totals to computers, printers, flash drives and other external devices. With these communication options, operators can effortlessly generate charge-back and counterfeit-reports. Image snippets are provided for documentation and easy viewing.
