This under-counter ice maker was designed and developed to properly make and store ice.

Much like restaurant-type ice makers, the storage bin is not refrigerated. Instead, it is heavily insulated, similar to a picnic cooler or ice chest. The storage bin design eliminates ice freezing together into one large cluster. This design builds up ice high enough to contact the thermostat sensor tube in the ice storage bin, and then will shut off.

The new appliance is complete with an ice scoop that is designed to fit in the holder provided.
